Successful organizations worldwide realize that a diversity of perspectives, experiences and cultures can spur innovation, increase productivity and create a healthy and respectful workplace. These benefits, however, can often be undermined by racism, discrimination, unconscious bias, harassment and a lack of cultural awareness and acceptance.
By addressing these issues at the ground level, public service managers can play a key role in ensuring success in the Government of Canada's efforts to build a diverse and inclusive workforce where employees feel valued, respected and free to express themselves.
During this interactive event, participants will learn what they can do to build, incorporate and nurture diversity and inclusion in their own teams. Through a panel discussion, senior leaders will share tools, advice, knowledge and resources that managers need to understand, identify and combat racism and discrimination.
